Search Confluenceyour company knowledge in your AI knowledge base.
The plan is that the Confluence spaces you share — work instructions, technical descriptions, minutes, inspection procedures — come into the knowledge base together with their attached files. Access is designed to be read-only; nothing is changed in Confluence.

How the connection is designed
The plan is to grant access through your Atlassian account: you sign in and allow access to Confluence; only the spaces you select together with us are read — read-only, nothing is changed or commented on in pages and attachments. Whether the settings of your Atlassian organisation allow such a connection and whether an administrator has to approve it is something we check with you beforehand. If Confluence runs on your own server on site, the route is a different one.
Once set up, synchronisation runs automatically: new and changed documents from Confluence are added by themselves, without anyone having to upload anything.
Set-upThe connection is made with a click through your Atlassian account and is included in the setup. We agree beforehand which spaces are read — ideally together with the person who manages your Confluence. Confluence on your own server on site is connected after clarification.
Documents
Which documents may be stored in Confluence
- Spaces per department, product line or customer, in which a page tree has grown over the years
- Work instructions, inspection procedures and checklists maintained only in Confluence and not available anywhere as a file
- Meeting notes and decision logs, filed page by page by date
- Attachments to pages: data sheets, drawings as PDF, inspection reports, Excel lists
- Blog posts with announcements to the company — new rules, changed responsibilities, notes from the workshop
- Archived spaces of completed projects that still hold the one piece of information you need

Start
Before a connection is set up
The connection is made in one click via the account and is included in the setup. Every source comes with its own logins, permissions and folder logic — we check the prerequisites at your company together beforehand.
Until then, and independently of it, you can upload files, whole folders, emails, photos and voice memos. Before we start, we go through real questions with you to see how the answers look.
Preliminary check
What we check in advance
The plan covers the text of pages and blog posts together with attached files. Comments, page history and older versions are not included; whether they are needed is something we discuss. Beforehand, we look at which content is pulled in from other sources via macros — such as Jira issues or excerpts from other pages — because it does not appear as text on the page itself. We clarify whether archived spaces should be included, whether restricted pages are visible to the authorising account at all, and whether your Confluence runs in the cloud or on your own server.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about this connection
Our Confluence goes back to 2014 and a lot of it is outdated. Will that just add noise?
That depends on what is in it. The answer is designed to name the space, page and date of the source it is based on — so you can see how old a piece of information is. Spaces that should not be read in day-to-day use you can leave out or connect separately. Before we start, we go through how this looks with your content on real questions.
Many pages consist almost entirely of attachments. Are those read as well?
The plan is that attachments such as PDFs, Office files and scans come into the knowledge base as documents of their own, with space and page as attributes. That way the answer can refer to the data sheet and not just to the page it is attached to. Whether there are drawings in special formats or very large files among them is something we look at in the preliminary check.
We are restructuring our spaces right now. Will that break the connection?
That depends on the kind of restructuring. Pages moved or renamed within a selected space come along through the sync. A new space is not covered by the existing selection; if a space is deleted or the authorisation withdrawn, the knowledge base stays as of the last sync. Ideally, tell us about such changes in advance, and we will update the selection.
Some of our pages are restricted. Are these restrictions carried over?
The plan takes a different route: in junova, permissions depend on document types and roles, not on individual pages or spaces. Cost calculations, HR topics or customer contracts can thus be reserved for a smaller group. Spaces that should not be read at all you do not select. Your permissions in Confluence remain untouched; we discuss before we start how your permission logic can be mapped.
