Where your data is stored, who sees it – and what junova does not do.

Your documents are stored in your own instance on servers in Germany, the language model runs in the EU, and you decide who sees what through roles and document types. You’ll find the details here; for your IT team, the same information is available as a technical description.

How your documents are protected

Your own instance per company

Your own instance on servers in Germany, separate from all other companies.

Your knowledge base runs as a separate instance on our servers in Germany, kept apart from other companies. Nothing is installed on your computers. To include files from a server at your company, a small read-only component runs on that server – not on individual workstations.

Where the language model runs

In the EU. No training on your documents, contractually guaranteed.

In a data centre in the EU. Your documents are not used to train AI models. This is contractually guaranteed, and the data processing agreement (DPA) is included.

You set the permissions

Visibility per role and document type, with a cut-off date if you wish.

You decide who can see what by document type and role, not file by file, with a cut-off date if you wish. A person confirms the document type, because it decides who can see the document.

Files from your network: outgoing connections only

Mirrored with encryption, no open port, no access from outside.

Documents from a server at your company are encrypted and mirrored via outgoing connections only. No open port, no access from outside. Before we start, we check with your IT team what works with your file storage.

Deletion

Removed from the search index immediately, permanently after 90 days or immediately on request.

Deleted documents are removed from the search index immediately and permanently deleted after 90 days, or immediately on request. When the contract ends, you receive an export of your documents, and then the instance is deleted.

Every answer shows where it comes from

Every statement has a numbered reference to the source in the original.

Every statement carries a numbered reference that leads to the source in the original. If the system finds nothing, or your role lacks access, it tells you so instead of making something up.

Contract and policy

DPA included, plus a usage policy for your team.

The data processing agreement (DPA) is included. You also receive a usage policy for your staff that sets out what the system is for and how to handle its answers.

Documentation for your IT team

Technical description as a PDF, on request.

On request, we provide a technical description as a PDF for your IT team or data protection officer: server location, connection paths, encryption, deletion periods and data processing.

What junova does not do

We answer security questions in the demo.

30 minutes by video. If you like, we can go through server location, connection paths, encryption, deletion periods and data processing with your IT team.
